Learning Objectives
The course is aimed to provide basics about Prehistoric Archaeology: prehistoric chrono-cultural sequence from Palaeolithic to Metal Ages, human-environmental relationships, settlement strategies, burial customs, symbolic practices. Particular emphasis will be given to the methodological aspects, some case studies will be presented in order to show the multidisciplinary approach used in the field of Prehistoric Archaeology.
A part of this course will be devoted to explain methodologies and techniques in archaeometric analysis on prehistoric artefacts and, in a general view, to show basics about diagnosis on cultural heritage materials.
