The course presents students with the most significant events in the history of restoration, also analysing the degradation of certain types of objects and relative intervention techniques. The course aims to provide tools for an initial comprehension of the evolution of the concept of restoration over time and changing operating practices - also in relation to critical thinking - which have gradually led to modern restoration theory.
